The Western New York Foundation uses a web-based grant management program. Prior to submitting a Letter of Inquiry or Application please review our Grant Guidelines to learn more about the types of grants we give and our grantmaking process. You must determine whether you are applying for a Small, Impact Capacity Assessment Program (iCAP), or Capacity Building grant.
All grant applicants will need to create an account on our online grants management system when first using the system to apply. Your organization's basic information will be stored for future use when accounts have been set up or any grant activity has occurred.
Small Grant and Competitive Grants:
Step 1: Letter of Inquiry. Deadline dates for Letter of Inquiry submittals are usually July 31st and November 30th (iCAP deadline is August 31st and December 31st). Other deadlines may be available and will be posted on the online portal. You will receive an email response of the LOI results within three weeks of submittal. Note: All dates are subject to change
Step 2: Application. If the LOI is approved, you will need to complete an application. Deadline dates for the application are three weeks from notification to proceed.
Application. The iCAP does not require an LOI. Deadline dates for iCAP applications are August 31st and December 31st. Note: All dates are subject to change.
